Blimey what a month, it has been so hectic sorry for the delay but the next newsletters should be coming out soon. While visiting family on the other side of the country, the car broke down beyond repair. Two weeks without a car living in a rural area was not good, still we have another car now so things are starting to look up.

Last week we were away for the week, taking a group of Cub Scouts camping near Birmingham. A great time was had by all sadly saw no chickens. Also a big welcome to Winter, surely it must be as all we are getting is rain and more rain. The chicken run is looking like a bog, there is so much mud around. All the ex battery hens are doing great and feather re-growth is going well. The 2 new chicks are also doing well and their mum Meg is doing a really fantastic job of looking out for them and showing them the ropes.

Latest News

It is raining, raining, raining and with a little more rain, it is still raining. The news on the two little chicks that we have is that they are doing fine and dandy. We were away last week and a neighbour was looking after them, unfortunately they were let out into the main run. Although too young really to be out we have decided to leave them out with mum, who is doing a terrific job of keeping an eye on them.
